Community Health Nurses' Group

The Community Health Nurses' Group Ghana comprises of Community Health Nurses from the various Health Institutions. The Objectives of the group among others is to form a formidable group to see to the welfare of its members and to discuss issues concerning the carrier progression. The group started in April, 1999 in Kumasi with the support of DANIDA, Ghana, we had our first National Delegates Congress on the 127 April, 2000 in Accra at the GRNA Secretariat/Hostel. Our Motto: is “Prevention is Our Business”. We have been able to organize congresses in almost all the Regions to equip members with skills and in-service training.


The Roles and Responsibilities of the CHNG is

i. To do Home visit

ii. Immunization

iii. School Health Services

iv. Ante-Natal/Child Welfare Clinics etc.


Our next congress which is also our 10 Anniversary Celebration is coming off very soon in Ho, in the Volta Region.
