The President Mrs. Perpetual Ofori Ampofo joined other nursing and midwifery leaders from 28 countries across the globe in the ICN’s Global Nursing Leadership Institute (GNLI) programme to learn, share experiences and develop strategies for evidence-based policy change that promote population health.
Madam President has indicated that it is time to lead local, national, regional and global health through social policy, effective communication and an understanding of the local and global political context.
The program was joined by World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who restated WHO’s commitment to lifelong leadership development for nurses and midwives through advanced education, mentorship and management training.
