Mr. Philimon Gyapong began his nursing education at Cape Coast Nursing and Midwifery Training College (2002–2006) and became a registered member of GRNMA in 2006. GRNMA Membership and Leadership

He started as Secretary of the Western-Central Zone of GNMTA during school and was elected Acting District Secretary of Bibiani Municipal Hospital in 2006. In 2008, he became the substantive District Chair and strengthened the district branch, organizing major programs that engaged members locally and in neighboring districts. In 2009, he was elected Western Regional Secretary and later Western Regional Chair in 2015/2016, a position he currently holds.
