GRNMA 3-DAY SKILL WORKSHOP FOR ALL REGIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Date : Monday, July 29 – Wednesday, July 31, 2024
The GRNMA Leadership welcomed regional executives from all 10 administrative regions for a 3-day intensive training on leadership and governance.
The training sort to explore critical topics and enhance their skills. The program featured expert facilitators and covered five key areas:
Day 1 (July 29)
– Leadership in Trade Unions : Dr. William Okyere-Frempong led a session on understanding roles and responsibilities.
– Managing Conflicts and Engaging in Difficult Conversations : Dr. Yaw Perbi facilitated a session on effective conflict management.
Day 2 (July 30)
– Ensuring Organizational Effectiveness : Dr. Muhammed Auditor led a whole-day session on procurement, payment of taxes, bookkeeping, and audit preparations.
Day 3 (July 31)
– GRNMA Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures : The GRNMA Disciplinary Committee presented on the code of conduct and disciplinary procedures.
– Medico-Legal Issues in Nursing and Midwifery Practice : Kwame Appiah Esq. led a half-day session on the role of trade union leaders in medico-legal issues.
The program provided a platform for engaging discussions, valuable insights, and networking opportunities among trade union leaders and members. Participants gained knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership and organizational effectiveness.
