Mr. Philimon Gyapong
Mr. Philimon Gyapong is a hardworking, disciplined nurse specializing in anesthesia, currently working at Bibiani Municipal Hospital in the Western Region. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Certified Registered Anesthetist qualification, and a Diploma in Nursing from the University of Ghana. He also studied Tele-Medicine and medical informatics in India with a focus on e-health and e-communication.
Professional Experience
Mr. Philimon Gyapong began his nursing education at Cape Coast Nursing and Midwifery Training College (2002–2006) and became a registered member of GRNMA in 2006. He has extensive experience in clinical practice and health service administration, contributing significantly to capacity building and training programs.
GRNMA Membership and Leadership
He started as Secretary of the Western-Central Zone of GNMTA during school and was elected Acting District Secretary of Bibiani Municipal Hospital in 2006. In 2008, he became the substantive District Chair and strengthened the district branch, organizing major programs that engaged members locally and in neighboring districts. In 2009, he was elected Western Regional Secretary and later Western Regional Chair in 2015/2016, a position he currently holds.
