She completed midwifery training at South London Hospital for Women and Children School of Midwifery, London, and practiced in the UK for five years before registering with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <p>\r\n            She obtained a Post Basic Diploma in Nursing Service Administration in 1980 from the University of Ghana and furthered her competence in Infection Prevention\/Control at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, and in Peri-Operative and Critical Care Nursing at the University of Vermont Medical Centre, USA. She also completed a certificate course in Oncology\/Cancer Nursing at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London in 1988, and later earned a Master\u2019s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.\r\n        <\/p>\r\n\r\n        <p>\r\n            In 1983, she was appointed Deputy Registrar at the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana, coordinating Midwifery Licensing Examinations. In 1989, she became the Registrar\/Chief Executive Officer of the Council, serving until 2005.
