The President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo received an award at the Launch of the maiden National Nursing and Midwifery Excellence and Hall of Fame awards held at La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel under the auspices of the office of Head, Nursing a
nd Midwifery of the Ministry of Health.
The event also marked the closure of the national celebration of the year of the nurse and midwife.
The award
was in the category of Trade Union strengthening. In her acceptance speech, she thanked the organizers for the award and dedicated it to the members of the GRNMA, the leadership of the Association at all levels and her family.
The GRNMA as a Professional Association and a Trade Union also received an award for supporting the Year of the Nurse and Midwife celebrations in Ghana. The award was received by the 1st Vice President of the Association, Mr. Samuel A. Akolgo.
