Today, the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) proudly welcomed home Naomi Oyoe Ohene Oti, Ghana’s very own global nursing icon, at the Kotoka International Airport following her historic win of the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2025 in Dubai
Naomi, an oncology nurse specialist at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, and a mentor to many, stood out among over 100,000 nurses from 199 countries, bringing home the $250,000 award — a global recognition of her unwavering commitment to cancer care, nursing leadership, and education in Ghana and beyond.
The entire GRNMA family, led by national executives, colleagues, and well-wishers, gathered in love and pride to celebrate her return.
Naomi’s story is not just a personal triumph but a symbol of excellence in Ghanaian nursing.
