Theme: One Million More Midwives
The Midwives Society, under the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), proudly organized a Medical Outreach and Float in commemoration of the International Day of the Midwife 2026, under the theme: One Million More Midwives.
A Celebration of Service and Dedication
The float, put together by the Midwife Society under the leadership of the AG Chairperson, Ms Edith Abena Takyiwa Wuver, and her Executives, aimed to raise awareness of the vital role midwives play in ensuring safe motherhood, quality maternal healthcare, and the well-being of mothers and babies in our communities.
Bringing Healthcare to the People
Through the outreach, healthcare services and education were brought closer to the public, while the float helped amplify the voice and dedication of midwives across the country.
Special Acknowledgement
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the President of the GRNMA, Mrs. Perpetual Ofori Ampofo, for making this initiative a reality.
Honoring Our Midwives
We celebrate the commitment, compassion, and tireless sacrifices of all midwives who continue to save lives and make a difference every single day. Your care, strength, and dedication remain the backbone of maternal and child healthcare.
